Hotel Jan Brito offers rooms for solo travellers, couples, friends and families of up to four. Choose from cosy single and compact double rooms, spacious Deluxe rooms, historic Junior Suites, garden suites and family options. Because the hotel occupies a listed historic residence, every room has its own character and layout.
All 37 rooms have a private bathroom, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, safe, minibar and tea and coffee facilities.
Start the day with our breakfast buffet in the former library. Hotel guests can reserve the sauna and hammam for private use, and private parking is available by advance reservation. The hotel and all rooms are non-smoking. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out until 11:00.
Dogs and cats are welcome at Hotel Jan Brito upon request. A supplement of €20 per pet, per night applies, with a maximum of two pets per room depending on the room category.
Pets are not accepted in our Small Double rooms due to the limited space. Different restrictions may apply depending on the selected room category.
Pets must be kept on a leash in the hotel's public areas and may not enter the breakfast room, fitness or wellness facilities. When left alone in the room, dogs must be kept in an appropriate crate or bench.
Certified assistance dogs are not considered pets and are therefore not subject to our regular pet supplement or standard pet room restrictions.
Hotel Jan Brito welcomes guests travelling with a recognised assistance dog in accordance with applicable Belgian legislation.
To allow us to correctly register the assistance dog prior to arrival, we may request appropriate identification or certification showing that the dog is a recognised assistance dog. This may include the dog's assistance-dog identification, microchip number and/or details of the accredited organisation that trained or certified the dog.
Belgian-certified assistance dogs may be verified through the Cel Machtiging Assistentiehondenscholen (CELMA) database. For assistance dogs certified abroad, certification issued by a recognised or accredited assistance-dog organisation may be requested and verified.
Where available, identification from organisations accredited by Assistance Dogs International (ADI) or the International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF) may also be used for verification.
Regular pet restrictions do not automatically apply to a verified assistance dog. Should a particular room or area present a genuine practical, accessibility or safety concern, this will be discussed individually with the guest in order to find an appropriate solution.
We kindly recommend informing the hotel in advance when travelling with an assistance dog so that the necessary verification can be completed before arrival.
Designed for solo travellers who value comfort, tranquillity and character, our Cosy Single Room overlooks the hotel’s peaceful private garden. Located within the historic residence of Hotel Jan Brito, this compact yet thoughtfully arranged room offers a quiet and welcoming retreat in the heart of Bruges. Measuring 14 m², the room features a comfortable single bed (100 × 200 cm) and a private bathroom with a bath/shower combination.

Ideal for short stays and for guests who plan to spend most of their time discovering Bruges, our Charming Small Double Room offers a comfortable and practical base within the historic main building of Hotel Jan Brito. Measuring 18 m², this is one of our most compact double rooms. It features a comfortable queen-size bed (160 × 200 cm) and a private bathroom with a bath/shower combination. Please note that the room offers limited or no outside view. Pets are not permitted in this room type.

Located beneath the impressive 16th-century wooden roof structure, they offer a distinctive atmosphere that reflects the heritage of Hotel Jan Brito. Measuring 21 m², each room is elegantly arranged and features a comfortable double bed (180 × 200 cm) and a private bathroom with a bath/shower combination. Twin beds (2 × 90 × 200 cm) can be prepared upon request, subject to availability and with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice before arrival.

Each room is individually decorated with carefully selected wall hangings, paintings or antique elements that celebrate the rich character of Hotel Jan Brito. Offering 30 m², the room features a comfortable double bed (180 × 210 cm) or, upon request, twin beds (2 × 90 × 210 cm). Twin beds are subject to availability and must be requested at least 48 hours before arrival. The private bathroom is equipped with either a separate bath and shower or a bath/shower combination. Bathrobes and slippers are provided for additional comfort.

Once used by Baroness de Giey, the last private resident of the house, these elegant rooms retain a sense of history through period decorations, paintings and carefully selected antique details. Each Junior Suite has its own individual layout and decorative character, giving every suite a distinctive atmosphere. It features a luxurious king-size bed (180 × 210 cm), a comfortable seating area and a private bathroom with bath and shower facilities. Bathrobes and slippers are provided for added comfort.

Located on the ground floor, it preserves original wall paintings and authentic period details that create a truly memorable atmosphere. Designed for up to three guests, the suite features two separate sleeping areas, allowing family members or friends to stay together while enjoying additional privacy. The main sleeping area has a large double bed (180 × 210 cm), while the second offers a single bed (90 × 200 cm). The generous private bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, a separate shower and a double washbasin. Bathrobes and slippers are provided for a relaxed and comfortable stay.

Experience the character of historic Bruges in our Duplex Family Room, a distinctive split-level accommodation set beneath the original 16th-century oak roof beams of Hotel Jan Brito. Offering 32 m² across two floors, the room comfortably accommodates up to four guests. The lower level features a double bed (180 × 200 cm), while the upper sleeping area provides two single beds (90 × 200 cm), giving families or friends separate spaces in which to rest. The private bathroom includes a bath/shower combination with an aromatherapy shower head. Please note that the upper sleeping area is accessible only via a steep staircase. This room may therefore not be suitable for families travelling with babies or very young children, guests with reduced mobility, or anyone who may have difficulty using stairs.

Hidden away in Hotel Jan Brito’s peaceful Renaissance garden, our four Duplex Garden Suites offer an exceptional sense of privacy and seclusion. Set apart from the historic main building and reached directly through the garden, each suite occupies a characterful space once used as a horse stable, tea house, coach house or private chapel, with an individual design inspired by its past. Arranged over two levels, each suite features a separate sitting room and a bedroom with a comfortable double bed. The private bathroom combines a hydromassage bath with a separate shower, while bathrobes and slippers add to the feeling of relaxation. Direct access to the hotel garden allows guests to step outside whenever they wish and enjoy the quiet green surroundings. It is also particularly convenient for guests who smoke outdoors; the suite itself is strictly non-smoking. Please note that the bedroom is located on the upper floor and is accessible only via a steep staircase. The suite may therefore not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility or anyone who has difficulty using stairs.
